It's 2005, and in New Jersey that means that the playing of our favorite blood-sport, politics, begins in earnest. United States Senator Jon Corzine has locked up the Democratic Party nomination for Governor of New Jersey. The New Jersey politically literate, or "politerati," are engaging in their favorite pastime, talking politics, and discussing the newly minted gubernatorial candidate's political philosophy as witnessed by this conversation, overheard:

Politerati 1: Politically, I think Jon Corzine and Jim McGreevey are the same. Corzine is just McGreevey with a beard.
Politerati 2: But Jim McGreevey did have a beard. Her name was Dina.
