Guess What?

Well, after some time of hearing about how Annie Jacobsen had hysterically overreacted in her description of events on Northwest Airlines flight 327 on June 29, 2004...

Guess what?

It seems that the Department of Homeland Security has bought into her basic premise. The 14 innocent Syrian musicians, who's only crime was "flying while Arab" were, in fact, probing Northwest security procedures. via LGF

The inspector general for Homeland Security late Friday released new details of what federal air marshals say was a terrorist dry run aboard Northwest Airlines Flight 327 from Detroit to Los Angeles on June 29, 2004.

I was the co-pilot on 327 and I wish you all could have been there to witness this event. As pilots we didn't see much of the goings on or hear much about it till later, but I will pass this along. After we landed in LAX and as per the airmarshalls request had his'supervisors' meet the flight, all the local police showed up to round these guys up as they left the airplane. There was not one of them under the age of 35, most were older, overweight and they all had a lot of jewelery on. If they were really bad guys( I doubt it), then they were chosen very well. If they were as it seemed to me - a band going to a gig (knuckleheads all for the way they conducted themselves)then a few lessons need to be learned about how being trapped in a tube 6 miles up can distort one's perspective. --C.Andy-->>
