Burgertime!

The 15 pound hamburger -- an idea whose time has come. At least that's what the folks at Denny's Beer Barrel Pub think. For a mere $39.95, you too can experience Denny's 15 pound beef monster. If you finish the burger in under five hours, not only is your meal free, but you win $350, a T-shirt and get to have your name posted on the pub's wall of fame.

Astute readers will note this is not the first time we have written about the goings on at Denny's Beer Barrel Pub. The Idiom chronicled the story of the first person to win Denny's challenge to finish its six pound hamburger in under three hours several months ago as part of its continuing coverage of competitve eating. A teenage girl from New Jersey who was a 100 pounds soaking wet took on the six pound burger and devoured it in under three hours. I'm sure this humbling experience is the impetus for the the creation of Denny's new 15 pound tower of sirloin.

Kid Various had best return from the Sandbox as soon as possible if he doesn't want to lose his opportunity to conquer the world's greatest eating challenges to little girls. Pretty soon he'll have to eat a 25 pound hamburger to avoid a check.
